El Quadis guanya a la Sant Jordi i és segon en solitari (Tot Mataro)
És la primera victòria a la piscina del Catalunya en partit de fase regular
El Centre Natació Mataró Quadis ha fet un magnífic partit a la piscina Sant Jordi i ha aconseguit la primera victòria de sempre en aquella instal·lació davant del Catalunya en partit de fase regular, ja que l'única vegada en que ho havia aconseguit havia estat en partit de "play-off" la temporada 2003-04.
L'equip de Beto Fernàndez ha fet un partit molt seriós sense perdre mai la compostura, ni tant sols quan dins del tercer quart l'equip local s'ha posat amb avantatge de dos gols (6-4). Aleshores l'equip mataroní, amb superior potencial global de plantilla, s'ha mostrat més enter físicament en el tram final i ha remuntat el partit.
El Quadis havia començat bé (0-2), però de seguida s'ha vist que els hongaresos del "Cata" (dos d'ells els ex-mataronins Babay i Balatoni) no ho posarien fàcil i el matx ha entrat en una tònica de molta igualtat fins al descans (4-4).
A l'inici del tercer quart l'equip de Gràcia s'ha posat amb dos gols d'avantatge (6-4), però a poc a poc la defensa mataronina s'ha anat centrant, Diakonow s'ha convertit en una muralla sota pals i fins al final el Quadis ha decidit amb dos parcials de 0-3, només amb un gol local al mig. A partir de l'empat a 7, un gol d'Edu Mínguez des de la boia, un de Pau Bach (que cada vegada està afegint més gols a la seva tasca defensiva), des de l'esquerra, i un altre de Fran Sànchez des de la dreta han acabat trencant el partit.

Mataro held off fellow contenders Catalunya 7-10 to remain in second place, just two points behind defending champs Barceloneta who extended their unbeaten run up to five games crushing Helios 25-6 at home. Albert Español used the game to storm into the league's top scorers list top 3 netting seven goals. But Español's shooting clinic was not the only one of the weekend in Spain. Real Canoe's Alberto Barroso did the same in his team's 10-18 victory at A.R. Concepcion-CDAD in the Madrid derby. Both Catalunya and Real Canoe are now tied for fourth place in the rankings. In other games Terrassa consolidated its position in the top of the table edging Navarra 11-4 at home, led by Sergi Mora who scored four. Sabadell posted a welcome first win of the season as seventh ranked Mediterrani was defeated 14-9. In a close encounter Sant Andreu topped Barcelona 8-7 to now hold sixth place on the table.
