Champions:Debut con victoria para el Barceloneta
RFEN 26/09/2012 - El CN Atlètic—Barceloneta ha saldado su debut en Champions con un gran triunfo por 10—7 ante el Sintez Kazan ruso. Los de Santi Fernández han resuelto el encuentro con un excelente últimon parcial, en el que han deshecho el empate a cinco que reinaba en el marcador gracias al acierto goleador de Felipe Perrone, Marc Minguell y Rubén de Lera.
El CN Atlètic-Barceloneta ha deshecho la rocosidad rusa en un excelente último parcial. Tras una dura primera parte, que ha acabado con ventaja mínima para los marineros al descanso (3-2), el Sintez Kazan ha recuperado el tono para llevar de nuevo la igualada a cinco al electrónico al último descanso.
Llegado este punto, el Barceloneta ha puesto la directa. Un parcial de 3-0, con tantos de Marc Minguell, Rubén de Lera y Felipe Perrone ha permitido a los locales lograr su máxima renta en el encuentro (8-5). Acto seguido, los barceloneses han neutralizado en dos ocasiones la tímida reacción rival, llevando el 10-7 con que se ha llegado al final de los 32 minutos de juego. Felipe Perrone, autor de cinco tantos, ha sido el máximo goleador local.
El segundo choque del Barceloneta en Champions queda fijado para el próximo 10 de octubre en la piscina de la Vojvodina.

On the first day of this year's Champions League tournament, the Hungarian side of Szeged was the first to note a result. On Wednesday, the Hungarian national cup winners routed past German national champs Spandau 8-5. Veteran centre-forward Tamas Molnar, just back from playing a major role in the title winning side of Neptunes at the island of Malta this summer, scored a game-high three goals in the opening day win for Szeged who saw fellow contender for the group win Partizan Belgrade 'losing' two points. The Serbian national champion Partizan Belgrade took a three-goal lead against Turkish champs Galatasaray who stormed back in the final quarter to draw level at 5 for the tied final score. In the other games, Croatian champs Jug took a clear win in the much anticipated matchup with the new-look side of Red Star Belgrade as they cruised to winning 6-10 at Belgrade behind a strong effort from goalkeeper Marko Bijac. The main title contender confirmed their status on day 1 already beating the main contender for the win in group B. Miho Boskovic was the top-scorer for Jug scoring three goals and saw teammate lefthander Maro Jokovic adding a pair. Fellow leftie Boris Vapenski scored three for Red Star. Meanwhile the Greek sided had a successful evening gaining easy wins. Olympiakos faced no troubles at all against Swiss debutant SC Kreuzlingen beating them 15-5 while national champs Vouliagmeni routed past Spartak Volgograd 11-6 behind three goals from Greek international Emmanouil Mylonakis. Spanish national champs Barceloneta made succesfull comeback in the tournament starting their campaign with a clear and convincing 10-7 win behind no less than five goals from Spanish star Felipe Perrone. Fellow group C contenders Brescia started off with a victory as well beating Serbia's number three Vojvodina 13-9.

Srdjan TomicThe Partizan game marked the start of a Champions League water polo festival in Belgrade since both teams from the Serbian capital played their respective matches at home on Wednesday.
The Serbian champions, which faced a lot of problems with injuries as new head coach Vladimir Vujasinovic did not had some of the most experienced players available. Stefan Mitrovic, newly signed Predrag Jokic, Marko Matovic and Petar Filipovic all were forced to skip the first match due to illness. Still some young and talented players managed to earn a point for the home team.
Mihajlo Kolija opend the score and the team from Istanbul even had the chance to go up twice from five meters Partizan-goalie Slobdan Soto blocked two efforts from Montenegrin international Vjekoslav Paskovic. His Serbian opponent Milos Cuk did not missed the same opportunity at the other end and evened the score in the first quarter.
Missing centre-forward Filipovic, Vukicevic was the only men to play on the two-meter line, and in the opening phase of the second quarter he proved skillfull as he managed to score with the left hand to put the home side op one goal at half time. The second half began with USA international Jessy Smith putting the visistors up ahead before a strong effort by Ivan Rackov, with one assist and two goals, got Partizan up leading 5-3 after three quarters. But Galatasaray was not to give up as shots from Sutalo and Osman got Galatasaray earning a point in the last minute at Belgrade.

Buen debut de los marineros que este año se han reforzado y quieren liderar el waterpolo español,
La Champions vuelve a ver en liza al At Barceloneta, ausente el año pasado por problemas económicos. Esta temporada se ha reforzado, quiere ser competitivo, quiza pensando que el 2013 celebra su centenario.
Esta noche en su piscina de la Plaza del Mar venciò al Sintez Kazan por 10-7, tras un partido en el que los "marineros" supieron trabajar el último cuarto con maestría. El electrónico señalaba empate a 5 y el conjunto de Santi Fernandez, ha sabido motivarse y con tras tantos se ha escapado hacia arriba, ante la imposibilidad de reacción del equipo ruso. Este cambio de juego le ha concedido la victoria.
El partido lo comenzó dominando el A Barceloneta, de una manera modesta al término del primer cuarto. En el descanso con 3-2 favorable a los marineros, naa estaba decidido. Se llegó a las tablas (5-5) en el tercer periodo, para desembocar en unas jugadas de eficacia, arriesgando el todo por el todo, con tras tantos de Marc Minguell, Felipe Perrone y Ruben de Lera que marcaron la senda del triunfo, en los ultimos minutos para anotarse la primera victoria de esta liguilla inicial de la Champions.
El Barceloneta que el fin de semana se alzó con la Copa Catalunya, disputará el domingo día 30 la Supercopa de España ante el CN Sabadell.
A nivel internacional este es el calendario que tiene por delante el Atletico Barceloneta, que debera compaginarlo con su participación en la Liga Nacional.

L’Atlètic-Barceloneta guanya el Sintez Kazan (10-7) en el debut de la Champions

El Club Natació Atlètic - Barceloneta ha començat amb una gran victòria la seva participació en la Champions League. L'equip de Santi Fernández s'ha imposat per 10 a 7 al Sintez Kazan de Rússia. Els mariners han hagut de treballar de valent per aconseguir la victòria, ja que al descans el Barceloneta guanyava per un ajustat 3 a 2. En l'últim quart, i amb un gran Felipe Perrone, el Barceloneta ha aconseguit assegurar la victòria.
Amb aquesta victòria, l’equip mariner afronta amb optimisme els pròxims compromisos: a la Supercopa, el dia 30, davant el Sabadell, i el 6 d’octubre a la Champions contra el VK Vojvodina Novi Sad de Sèrbia.
