En ocasiones nos llegan  peticiones muy curiosas a través de Change.org , en este caso , cómo colectivo arbitral, nos podríamos plantear individualmente sumarnos y apoyar esta iniciativa que ha tenido un compañero de silbato del deporte rey, el fútbol.

"Este fin de semana voy a una guerra”. Está frase hecha es oída semana tras semana entre los árbitros. Partidos donde a uno lo insultan desde el primer minuto, donde hay máxima tensión, donde hay que aguantar de todo. Pero el campo de batalla en los últimos años ha cambiado. Antes, los problemas estaban en el fútbol aficionado, en el de adultos. Hoy, la mayor parte de incidentes se los lleva el fútbol base. Increíble, pero cierto. 

En las últimas semanas, esta sinrazón se ha llevado al extremo. La noticia de la agresión en León parece que ha conmocionado a la sociedad. Pero no nos engañemos. Este fin de semana, a lo mejor, nos encontramos una cierta calma. Durará poco. Porque más allá de la cada vez menos excepcional violencia física, existe una deplorable violencia verbal.

Los árbitros de fútbol base, en su mayoría menores de edad, aguantan expresiones intolerables semana tras semana.Aunque son receptores de estas vejaciones, no son las únicas víctimas. Los niños a los que arbitran reciben una clase semanal de mala educación de sus padres o de los padres de otros. Una actividad tan necesaria y beneficiosa para los jóvenes se está volviendo en su contra.

El deporte parece que se ha convertido en el único sitio donde el insulto es gratis. Forma parte del paisaje. Nada se hace para cambiarlo. De nada sirve que hagamos constar en acta lo que escuchamos del público. No habrá sanción. Si la hubiese, los clubes dirían que están indefensos ante la conducta de sus aficionados. Si suspendemos el partido, nos dirán que no hay motivo si no peligra nuestra integridad física.

En España, como en otros países, se consiguió atajar con una notable eficiencia, el problema de los insultos racistas. Un acuerdo en 2005 entre árbitros, jugadores, Federación y Consejo Superior de Deportes llevó a la firma de un protocolo de actuación en el que, entre otros compromisos, se faculta y obliga a los colegiados a detener el encuentro momentáneamente para acallar este tipo de ofensas, que son señaladas en acta y sancionadas con dureza. Llegado el caso y siempre como última vía, incluye la suspensión del encuentro

Nunca hubo que llegar tan lejos. Los aficionados tomaron conciencia por una doble vía: unos porque se dieron cuenta de su bochornosa conducta y otros porque sabían que estaban perjudicando a su club. De hecho, cuando por megafonía piden que cesen los insultos racistas, todo el estadio se vuelve contra esos hinchas idiotas. ¿Por qué no aplicar algo similiar en el fútbol base?

Estamos hablando de partidos de chavales de seis, ocho o doce años, jugados entre palabras por las que cualquier padre cambiaría el canal de la tele. Insultos que no se permiten emitir en horario infantil. Sin embargo, en la actividad en las que los niños muestran toda su ilusión, se permite y se asume con cierta normalidad. ¿Hasta cuándo?

Por los padres civilizados que entienden el deporte como un espacio idóneo para la educación de sus hijos. Por los entrenadores que inculcan a sus jugadores el respeto a adversarios y árbitros. Por los árbitros, que como personas, no se merecen ser vejados por sus errores. Pero sobre todo… ¡por los niños! Acabemos con esta lacra que crece año a año: la violencia en el fútbol base. Y para ello, entre otras muchas medidas posibles, proponemos una: que los partidos se paren cuando haya insultos. Un minuto, dos minutos, lo que haga falta para poner en evidencia a unos pocos que estropean el trabajo de otros muchos. En ese clima, no puede haber deporte infantil. Cuando se callen, continuamos. Firma esta petición y apoya esta demanda.

España encaja ante Gran Bretaña su primera derrota de la temporada (Mundo Deportivo)

Redacción deportes, 22 abr (EFE).- La selección española femenina de waterpolo, que ya está clasificada para la Superfinal de China, que se disputará en junio. encajó hoy su primera derrota en la Liga Mundial al perder en la última jornada de la fase regular por 9-7 ante la de Gran Bretaña en Manchester.

En un partido con hasta 25 expulsiones (13 que favorecieron a las británicas y 12 a las españolas), España pagó caro su falta de acierto precisamente en ese tipo de acciones, informa la federación nacional de natación.

En los primeros dos cuartos España no supo aprovechar los momentos en los que estuvo en superioridad ante las británicas, que, tras adelantarse al final del primero capítulo, supo aumentar su renta hasta el 4-1 con que se llegó al descanso.

España reaccionó en la reanudación con un tanto de Anni Espar de penalti y otro de Ona Meseguer que situó el marcador en 4-3 para las locales.

Chiara Gibson firmó el 5-3 y el 6-4, y Maica Garcia y Lorena Miranda marcaron poner el tanteador en 5-4 y 6-5. Una postrera acción en superioridad convertida por Lisa Gibson elevó el resultado hasta el 7-5.

España sí aprovechó sus posteriores superioridades para lograr el empate 7-7 al inicio del último parcial, pero un penalti forzado por Angie Winstanley-Smith le costó a las españolas el 8-7 de Chiara Gibson y la expulsión por tarjeta roja del técnico, Miki Oca.

Un nueva acción sancionada con lanzamiento desde cinco metros supuso el definitivo 9-7, anotado por Chloe Wilcox a 1:53 minutos del final.

España lo intentó en los minutos finales, pero una gran parada de la meta británica mantuvo a las locales con esos dos goles de renta para sumar su primer triunfo en la fase regular.

The British Gas GBR Women’s Water Polo team pulled off the best result in their history by stunning world champions Spain in their final 2014 FINA World League match in Manchester.

It was an emotional night for the British women; their international future uncertain after the unexpected withdrawal of UK Sport funding two months ago.

"We’ve been through so much over the last three or four months. It’s been horrific," -Angie Winstanley-Smith

But the Brits – who came into the match on the back of winning gold as team England at the Commonwealth Championships in Aberdeen earlier this month – were relentless as they out-worked their celebrated opponents for a deserved 9-7 (1-0, 3-1, 3-4, 2-2) victory.

Spain had gone unbeaten throughout their World League campaign, including a 13-5 victory over GB in January, and had no intention of taking their foot off the pedal in their final match with 11 of their 13 world champions on show in Manchester.

But the Spanish couldn’t match the intensity or endeavor of their hosts, trailing for the majority of the match, pulling level in the final quarter but then falling short in the final minutes.

And Angie Winstanley-Smith, who played for the Brits at the London 2012 Olympics, admits the performance was a poignant result of the hard work the team have put in over the past decade.

“You can see how we celebrated, that was like a final for us,” said Winstanley Smith, who helped the Brits qualify for their second consecutive European Championships earlier this year.

“We’ve been through so much over the last three or four months. It’s been horrific. We’ve had to look at our lives totally differently and to come away with a result like that shows you the strength we have and also the strength of character we have. We’re not just a water polo team. We’re a family.

“Everyone left everything they have in the pool tonight. Wilco [Chloe Wilcox] was cramping up in that last quarter but she kept going until the end. Water polo is a team game because not one action comes without three or four people.

“The Commonwealth Championships really got us going on a positive wave and we’ve got good momentum now on to Europeans in the summer.

“We’ve got a shared passion to show UK Sport that they’ve made a mistake. We’re a good team and we can show what a team game brings to Great Britain and to young people and how important team games are at the Olympics."

he Brits were on the front foot from the outset with Barcelona-born Ciara Gibson-Byrne bagging her first of four goals and the only score in a tight opening quarter.

The home side established a three goal lead in the second period as Kathryn Fowler scored from the pit on man-up before Manchester local Ella Chadderton added another two goals to put the crowd in raptures.

After a dressing down at half-time, the Spanish fought back in the third quarter but the Brits kept their noses in front throughout as Gibson-Byrne scored twice and Lisa Gibson found the net with 0.1 second left on the clock.

The world champions drew level early in the final quarter with two quick-fire goals to pull the game back to 7-7 but the Brits endured as Winstanley-Smith won two penalties which Gibson-Byrne and Wilcox dispatched to secure a famous victory.

The Brits will travel to their second consecutive European Championships in Budapest in July, having finished seventh in Eindhoven two years ago.

Με νίκη ολοκλήρωσε η Εθνική των Γυναικών τη συμμετοχή στη προκριματική φάση του Β΄ Ομίλου της Ευρώπης, μια και κέρδισε με 8-10 την Ουγγαρία στο «σπίτι» της, στην πόλη Σεκεσφεχέρβαρ.

Αυτή η νίκη έχει μεγάλη σημασία γιατί έρχεται το Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα της Βουδαπέστης, τον προσεχή Ιούλιο.

Πρώτη σκόρερ για την Εθνική μας ήταν η Χριστίνα Τσουκαλά (τρία γκολ).

23/04/2014 - España, Italia y Rusia serán los equipos europeos en la Superfinal de Kunshan, China, que se jugará del 10 al 15 de junio. La Selección española y la italiana avanzan como líderes de sus respectivos grupos y sumando nueve puntos, mientras que la Rusa progresa como mejor segunda clasificada tras derrotar en el average goleador a Grecia (54—48), que ayer se impuso a Hungría por 10—8. El Torneo Intercontinental de Riverside definirá los cuatro rivales de los europeos y de China.

In the final day of action in the women's World League preliminary round in Europe it was Greece who took a big 8-10 win from Hungary finishing their campaign on a positive note and second place in group B. All effort was not enough to get the Greek women into the Super Final though as the goal difference with group A's second ranked Russia still is in the world's number four favour as they grab the final Super Final spot out of Europe. But a strong second-half performance by Greece in their match-up with Hungary saw the 2011 world champs turning the game around from traiing 6-5 at half-time to winning by two. Another side who closed out their campaign on a positive note was Great Britain. Although 'a positive note' is perhaps not enough to describe their best result ever on the international stage. In Manchester, in front of the home crowd, reiging world champions Spain were defeated 9-7 in a performance that does not only serve as great finish of the World League preliminaries but also as a strong response to the recent blow the team received when learning of the fund withdrawal by UK Sport last month. The home side took a big 4-1 lead at half-time but saw Spain making a comeback to even tie the game at 7-7 after a Jennifer Pareja goal in the fourth quarter. But consecutive goals by standout Ciara Gibson Byrne (4 total) and Chloe Wilcox, both from the penalty spot and drawn by Angie Winstanley-Smith, secured the sensational victory for the Brits. In May, Riverside, Southern California (USA) will host the first-ever FINA Intercontinental Tournament. The event will qualify four teams for the women's Super Final, and brings together some of the world's top teams, including 2012 Olympic gold medallist USA, 2012 Olympic bronze medallist Australia, 2013 World League winner China and 2016 Olympic Games host Brazil.

Women's World League European campaign finishes 

on high note (FINA)

In the last round of the women's World League preliminaries in Europe, held on April 22, visiting Greece defeated Hungary 10-8 in Szekesfehervar to take second in Group B but the win was not enough for the 2011 World champions to earn a berth for the Super Final as Group A's second-seed Russia enjoyed a greater goal average. Russia thus joins Italy and Spain as European qualifiers for the Super Final.

In an intense match-up, Great Britain proved tremendous against an unchallenged Iberian squad, stunning the reigning World champions 9-7 in front of the home crowd in Manchester.

Meanwhile, the women's teams of Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Venezuela and USA are gearing up for the first-ever FINA Intercontinental Tournament, taking place in Riverside (USA) on May 19-25. The event will qualify four teams for the women's Super Final to be played in Kunshan (CHN) on June 10-15.

22/04/2014 - La Selección Femenina ha despedido la fase regular de la Liga Mundial de Waterpolo con derrota ante Gran Bretaña en Manchester (9—7). En un partido con 25 expulsiones (13 a favor de las británicas y 12 para el conjunto español), España ha pagado caro su falta de acierto precisamente en este tipo de acciones para encajar su primer partido perdido de la temporada.

El partido de hoy ha tenido dos caras para la Selección. En los primeros dos cuartos, la falta de acierto en las jugadas de superioridad han dado ventaja a Inglaterra, que tras avanzarse por 1-0 al fin del primero, han estirado su margen hasta el 4-1 con que se ha llegado al descanso.

La reacción ha llegado en la reanudación, con un tanto de Anni Espar de penalti y de Ona Meseguer que ha puesto a las nuestras a un tanto del equilibrio. Desde este punto, España y Gran Bretaña han iniciado un intercambio de goles: Chiara Gibson ha firmado el 5-3 y el 6-4; y Maica Garcia y Lorena Miranda han resituado a las nuestras a un tanto con los respectivos 5-4 y 6-5. Y cuando todo apuntaba al fin del tercer período con este marcador, una postrera acción de superioridad convertida por Lisa Gibson ha elevado el 7-5 con el reloj rozando el cero.

Dos acciones en superioridad consecutivas han dado a España la igualada a siete goles en los compases iniciales del cuarto decisivo. Sin embargo, un penalti forzado por Angie Winstanley-Smith le ha costado a las nuestras el 8-7 de Chiara Gibson a 2:43 y la expulsión por tarjeta roja de Miki Oca. Poco después, una nueva acción sancionada con lanzamiento desde cinco metros ha puesto el 9-7, anotado por Chloe Wilcox con 1:53 restante en el reloj. España lo ha intentado en los minutos finales, pero una gran parada de la meta británica ha mantenido el +2 favorable a las locales en el minuto final. Al final, 9-7 y primera derrota de la Selección esta temporada, que deportivamente no tiene trascendencia alguna, ya que las nuestras están ya clasificadas para la Superfinal de China, que se disputará en el mes de junio.

 Derrota intrascendent per la selecció 

femenina a la World League (FCN)

La selecció estatal ha perdut el primer partit de la temporada contra la selecció de Gran Bretanya en l'últim partit de la World League. L'encontre va acabar amb un 9 a 7 per les angleses. Aquesta derrota, però, és esportivament intrascendent ja que les noies de Miki Oca ja estan classificades per la Super Final que es jugarà del 10 al 15 de juny a Kushan, Xina.

La selecció jugarà aquesta Super Fina amb altres equips europeus com Itàlia i Rússia.

El C.N.Barcelona reedita el títol de campió del 

BCN WP UNDER 10 (FCN)

El C.N.Barcelona ha tornat a aixecar la copa de campió de la competició BCN WP UNDER 10. Un torneig per nens i nenes de clubs de waterpolo fins a 10 anys d'edat i que organitza desde fa 2 anys el C.N.Barcelona. El club amfitrió ja és bicampió d'aquesta competició i aquesta vegada va guanyar la final al C.N.Molins de Rei per 6 a 4. Els altres trofeus de la competició van anar a parar a les mans del C.N.Vallirana que es va endur el trofeu al Fair Play i al C.N.Montjuic que van guanyar el premi a la Millor Afició. 

El C.N.Barcelona un cop més va saber organitzar una grandíssima competició i han aconseguit situar la BCN WP UNDER 10 com un referent per la competició dels més petits del waterpolo.

El CN Barcelona, bicampeón del BCN WP Under10 (RFEN)

21/04/2014 - El CN Barcelona ha reeditado el triunfo en su torneo Benjamín de Waterpolo tras imponerse ayer en la final al CN Molins por 6 goles a 4. El CN Jerez ha completado el podio de la competición tras derrotar al Marseille en el duelo por el bronce. La competición ha puesto el broche con un gran nivel en la asistencia de espectadores y un diez en lo que a organización se refiere.

Llenazo absoluto en la Nova Escullera en la jornada de finales del BCN WP Under 10, que medía en el encuentro más deseado a CN Barcelona y CN Molins de Rei. Los molinenses, que llegaban a la gran final con la vitola de ser el equipo más goleador y el menos goleado, no pudo hacer nada para batir al CN Barcelona, que se alzó por segunda ocasión con la copa más deseada. El propio presidente de la RFEN, Fernando Carpena, hizo entrega de la misma al capitán del equipo cenebista, Robert López. Un exultante CN Jerez completó el podio de la competición, evidenciando el buen trabajo de base del waterpolo andaluz.

Además de los tres primeros, la organización reconoció al CN Vallirana como premio al Fair Play, y alCN Montjuïc como el club con la mejor afición.

El CN Barcelona ha revalidat el títol de campió del BCN WP under 10 després de guanyar el Molins de Rei per 4 a 6. Els barcelonins han dominat durant la primera part. A la segona, però, el Molins ha sortit molt endollat i s'han col·locat només a dos gols. Tot i això, l'equip de Víctor González no s'ha rendit i ha aconseguit la victòria. El tercer lloc ha estat per al CN Jerez, que ha guanyat davant el CDN Marsella.

Greek powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus is the new LEN Trophy winner. A close final game in Florence on Saturday was won 10-9 over the home team, thanks to a late goal by Australian international Bronwen Knox. The bronze medal was grabbed by Ugra Khanty Mansiysk who rolled past favorites and Russian champions Kinef Kirishi in a rare one sided display 8-20.

Both Russian sides did not make it to the LEN Trophy final and will have to watch the teams of Olympiacos and home side NGM Firenze battling for this year's first European club trophy of the season after clear victories in the semi-finals on Friday. Favorites Olympiacos held off Russian champions Kinef Kirishi in a big match-up 8-5, followed by the nationally televised game of Firenze facing second Russian squad Ugra Khanty Mansiysk. That encounter went on to feature many more goals but thanks to a nice 4-1 run in the fourth period the Final Four hosts ended up victorious 15-10. They will now meet the Greek powerhouse on Saturday night to determine the successors of Russian side Shturm Chekov who are the outgoing LEN Trophy champions.

Women LEN Trophy Final Four Tournament, Florence

The first title up for grabs (LEN)

The first European club title is at stake in Florence (ITA) where the Women LEN Trophy Final Four Tournament is held. No clear favourites, plenty of excitement, a new winner – a great start for the climax of the continental club season.

The best players of the ever dangerous Russian national team divided into two sides, Kinef and Ugra, the host Florence team with a handful of Italian stars and Olympiacos featuring world champion Greek players and international greats – these four form the field of the LEN Trophy tourney. Good enough for a Euro League Final Four, however, this time they have to fight for the second ranked women’s club title after losing to even stronger sides in the Euro League quarters. (This year’s playing format offered the Quarter Finals losers to go for the LEN Trophy, while the winners will compete in the Euro League Final Four next weekend in Sabadell.)

The first semi final on Friday will see the clash of Olympiacos (GRE) and Kinef (RUS). Both teams have been seeking European glory for a while but neither of them managed to lift a trophy in the past. Kinef came runners-up in last year’s Champions Cup (now Euro League) – that was the 5th time (!) the Russians had to settle for the second place in the hunt for the shiniest trophy. Olympiacos were the closest in 2008 when they lost the LEN Trophy final to Rome (ITA) 10-9. In fact, they are really determined to win something at last as all fellow Greek sides managed to go all the way in the past (Glyfada, Ethnikos, Vouliagmeni), only the shelves of Olympiacos’s treasury don’t feature a European trophy.

2008 also mark the year when the host Italians appeared at the big stage for the first and – till date – the last time: six years ago Firenze reached the Final Four in the Champions Cup and finished third. They waited ever since to return to the final stage, now with the fans behind them they can make history. The semi won’t be an easy ride, though, as Ugra (RUS) have a really strong line-up as well. The Russians played twice in the LEN Trophy final, they were agonisingly close but after winning 13-12 at home (both times!) they lost the return away games by two goals in 2010 and 2012 as well.

So all four sides are looking for their very first continental triumph – and taking their strengths into consideration they all have equal chances before the weekend. By Saturday evening we will know who is going to lift the first European trophy of the season – and for the first time in the winning club’s history.

In this year's new format for the women's European club competition losing the quarter-finals doesn't mean your done. In fact, this weekend the fifth to eighth ranked teams in Europe will battle for this year's LEN Trophy in the Final Four tournament, set to go underway Friday in Florence, Italy. And with a current balanced top of women's club water polo in Europe three of four sides this weekend are veteran teams in the top of European club water polo. Russian powerhouse Kinef Kirishi can be considered favorite for the title, on paper. The Russian champions finished runners-up in last year's Champions Cup Final Four and grabbed the bronze medal the year before. But with Olympiacos as opponent in the semi-finals, the draw could not have been tougher. The Greek side fell to reigning European champions Sabadell in a close quarter-final match-up losing by a single goal at home (9-10) and two goals (8-6) in leg 2 in Sabadell on 12 March. Olympiacos are still looking for their first-ever LEN Trophy after losing the final to Roma 10-9 back in 2008 and could not get past the semi-finals in the 2012 edition. In between the Greek top squad recorded respective fourth and third-place finishes in Europe's 1st tier Champions Cup Final Four tournament in 2010 and 2011. 

The second semi-final features home side NGM Firenze taking on second Russian side Ugra Khanty Mansiysk. The last being another example of a team that is yet to claim a European trophy but was close twice in recent history making it to the LEN Trophy final in 2010 (lost to Ethnikos Piraeus) and 2012 (behind Imperia). Home team Firenze is a newcomer although after merging with Fiorentina Waterpolo in 2012, the club holds a part of the 2007 Champion Cup and following European Super Cup winners. Firenze fell to favorite Italian Imperia over two games in the quarter-finals despite a good fight in leg 1 at home losing 8-9, Imperia proved superior in the return game topping their well-known rivals 16-12. Ugra Khanty Mansiysk suffered a four-goal loss to Catania in the quarter-finals at home, 11-15, but responded well in Italy in leg 2 just falling 17-16 in a scoring festival.
