Partizan claims 24th Serbian cup

Partizan have claimed this season's Serbian cup. On Saturday in Becej the defending national champions held off Radnicki 11-9 to win the team's 24th national cup. Radnicki took a 1-2 lead before Partizan went off for a 5-0 run. The back-and-forth contest saw Radnicki then reducing the deficit to 7-5. After Partizan got away to leading by 5 goals Radnicki made their final attempt for a comeback, which resulted in a 10-8 score at one point but as top scorer Gavril Subotic scored the game's final goal the 11-9 final score and cup win were there for Partizan.Partizan defeated Red Star 14-3 in the semifinals on Friday while Radnicki edged Vojvodina 15-14 on penalties following a 9-9 draw at the end of regulation in their semi-final.
