USA women split first two games of exhibition series

La Jolla, CA - November 24 - A capacity crowd filled the Coggan Family Aquatics Center last night in La Jolla, CA to see the USA Women's National Team edge Australia 8-7. Rachel Fattal scored three goals in the match including the game winner with 2.54 to play in the fourth to give the United States the win. Captain Maggie Steffens added three goals and La Jolla native Gabby Stone made seven stops in net to pick up the victory.

Los Alamitos, CA - November 24 - For the second straight night an exhibition match Australia and the USA Women's National Team ended in an 8-7 final but tonight it was a win for Australia. Glencora (Ralph) McGhie scored the eventual game winner with 1.30 left capping a seven-goal second half for Australia. The Aussies rallied from down 3-1 at half-time to go up 7-4 in the second half. Two goals from Maggie Steffens and Rachel Fattal were not enough to overcome Australia. Ashleigh Johnson went the distance in net turning away 10 shots.
