Pro Recco have successfully defend their Italian cup in Wednesday's final against main rivals Brescia. After a convincing 14-7 semi-final victory over Posillipo the battle for the trophy on Wednesday saw the title favorites delivering another superior performance to beat Brescia 11-6. Even with the runners-up scoring 50% on man-up while Recco shot 'just' 2-for-8 a balanced attack and strong defence secured another big win for the defending national champions. Man of the match however was Montenegrin allrounder Aleksandar Ivovic who put on a display scoring 5 goals for the winners. The bronze medal was claimed by Posillipo who defeated Final Four hosts Bogliasco earlier on Wednesday 17-9. Like the day before Aleksandar Radovic topped his teams' and the game's scorers list with 4.

Montenegrin international Aleksandar Radovic led the way for Posillipo scoring four goals. In the second encounter Brescia dominated hosts Bogliasco 13-3 in a one-sided affair. Italian international, although currently ejoying a sabbatical year off from the Settebello Christian Presciutti topped the scorers list with four for the victorious side. Pro Recco previously topped Brescia 14-11 in a Serie A1 15th round match-up earlier last month
