Spartak Volgograd have made a big step towards the final of the Euro Cup tournament. A 10-12 win in Naples, Italy in the first of two semi-final match-ups with Acquachiara has given them an excellent situation going into the home game on the 5th of March. A good start and finish brought the Russians the two-goal victory as the home team in between got more involved and actually led 9-8 going into the final period. But Volgograd dominated that session 1-4 to turn the game around and walk away with the win. In the second semi-final Posillipo saw Mladost forcing an 8-8 tie in the final quarter after having led 5-6 with 8 minutes remaining. Both Giuliano Mattiello and Paride Saccoia toppped Posillipo's scorers list netting a pair of shots. Ivan Milakovic scored two for Mladost.
