Mladost first to qualify for Euro Cup semi-finals

Not surprisingly Mladost Zagreb is the first team to have qualified for the Euro Cup semi-finals. After a 14-4 win over Primorac in leg 1 of the quarter-finals the second meeting also ended up with Mladost as victors, this time by seven goals: 3-10. The game in Kotor, Montenegro was the only quarter-final played on Tuesday. The remaining other semi-finalists will be determined on Wednesday.

On a busy Wednesday in Europe the Euro Cup tournament will see the semi-finalists being determined. Both Acquachiara and Mladost are the high favorites to make it to the final four after 5 and 10-goal wins respectively on 20 November in leg 1. The all-Russian match-up featuring Spartak Volgograd and Dynamo Moscow is looking all but decided with Volgograd holding a 2-goal advantage triumphing in the first leg 12-10. Both sides met 3 times in the domestic league since 20 November, all three won by Volgograd including two victories by a narrow margin: 8-7. French representative Dauphins Sète will give it their all at home against Dooa Posillipo who enjoy a seemingly comfortable 4-goal lead out of leg 1 (12-8) and are coming off a nice 6-6 draw against Italian league leaders Brescia in the domestic league last weekend. Mladost will take on Primorac in Kotor, Montenegro on Tuesday already with the three remaining quarter-finals to be contested Wednesday.
