Dutch side stays unbeaten at Dutch Waterpolo Trophy

The Netherlands have completed a nice build-up to the upcoming 2013 world championships in Barcelona, Spain by winning the strong Dutch Waterpolo Trophy four-nation tournament at home in the city of Gouda this weekend. On Sunday the Dutch side closed out competition beating Canada 17-14 for their third straight victory. After nice wins over reigning world champs Greece (11-9) and the 2012 Olympic champs USA (14-13) the Mauro Maugeri coached side build up confidence ahead of the start of the world championships next Sunday. Meanwhile USA collected their second win of the tournament on Sunday beating Greece 11-7 to finish in second place. Strikingly both USA, Canada and Greece will meet again in the preliminary round of the Barcelona championships.
