UCLA wins ninth NCAA title with 9-8 victory over USC

Top-seeded UCLA has won its ninth NCAA title and 112th in UCLA history with a 9-8 win over six-time defending champion USC on Sunday afternoon at UCSD's Canyonview Aquatic Center in La Jolla, California. The UCLA Bruins earned their first NCAA championship since 2004. UCLA's Gordon Marshall (Australia) hit the game winner of the tense final with just 0.34 to go. The Bruins got the stop on the next possession and then ran out the clock.

UCLA defeats Southern California 9-8 to win the 2014 NC Men's Water Polo Championship. This is UCLA's first men's water polo title since 2004.
