Real Canoe leads Spanish league

In the Spanish league 2nd round, played last Saturday, it was Real Canoe who posted a second straight win and now leads the league being the only team to reach six points after the first couple of the matches of the new league season. On Wednesday though the Madrid based side could be joined by either Mediterrani or Terrassa who will match up both having won their respective first round matches last week. on Saturday Spanish champions Barceloneta got their first points after last week's defeat this time beating newcomers Poble Nou 17-9 at home. CN Barcelona hosted Sabadell as the visitors walked away with a clear 5-goal victory. Led by Dutch international Jesse Koopman en Eric Marsal (3 goals each) Sabadell took control in the second half and won 5-10. Sant Andreu also collected their first victory topping AR Concepcion 7-13 in Madrid. Catalunya did the same as they dominated Navarra at home 17-2 with top shooter Arpad Babay scoring 5 goals, backed by Marko Mijatovic who netted 4.
