Crvena zvezda have successfully defended the Serbian championship. In quite another play-offs finals series compared to the 5-game thriller of last season, the Dejan Savic coached completed a sweep of Radnicki in game 3 at home on Saturday posting a decisive 12-7 victory. With veteran centre-back Nikola Radjen returned to the line-up after his game 2 suspension due to being red carded in game 1 the home side took in the second half where Radnicki was simply outplayed and had to accept the defeat falling to their rivals once again. Zvezda captain Andrija Prlainovic came up huge scoring a game-high 5 goals for the victors being nicely backed up by both Radjen and left-hander Boris Vapenski who netted a triple each. For Radnicki the trio of Damir Buric, Srdjan Vuksanovic and captain Filip Filipovic netted two apiece. Crvena zvezda with this championship repeated a nice feature after the team had taken the then Yugoslav championship twice in a row in 1992 and 1993.
