In what appeared to become a shootout cracker the Serbian cup final and Radnicki comeback were finished off by Crvena zvezda goalkeeper Denis Sefik in amazing fashion. The veteran goalie tried a desperation last-second attempt full court as time ran out and it skipped past Radnick goalie Zdravko Radic to give the home team an epic 11-12 victory. The reigning champs looked well underway to successfully defending the cup during the game and particularly in the first half of the final quarter going up 8-11 after a Boris Vapenski goal on man-up with over 5 minutes remaining. But Radnicki responded well by netting three straight goals including the equalizer by Damir Buric, again on man-up, with just over a minute left. Both sides tried hard in the remainder and Crvena zvezda even got a unique opportunity with 0.40 left on man-up coming off a time-out but could not convert (Vikor Rasovic attempt blocked by Radic) and after Zvezda had neutralised Radnicki's final, chaotic attempt to win it Sefik saw no teammate to pass the ball to and tried his luck from right in front of his own goal to win it in dramatic fashion as celebrations began in the 2,000+ fans packed Tasmajdan pool and all Radnicki protests were in vain.

As expected defending champions Crvena zvezda are the first Serbian cup finalists after a dominant 6-16 win over the young Vojvodina side in the semi-final on Saturday. Thanks to a 0-5 first-quarter performance the game looked already played at half-time with a score of 3-9. Zvezda was all over their younger opponents while often benefiting from the Vojvodina turnovers to successfully finish things off on the other end. Nikola Radjen and Strahinja Rasovic topped the scorers list with three apiece. The reigning champs will face Radnicki in a much anticipated final on Sunday. Radnicki topped Partizan 9-7 in a close game to advance. Compared to the 2-9 Serbian league win for Radnicki last week, a much different Partizan came out on Saturday. On the defensive end Partizan looked more in control, created stops and, playing with the returned Uros Cuckovic and Nikola Dedovic, was able to finish off. Two goals by Dusan Mandic on man-up in the first period powered Partizan to a 3-4 lead in what was to become an interesting encounter. However in the second term Radnicki responded big time scoring four straight goals to turn around a 3-5 deficit into a 7-5 score at half time. Despite numerous opportunities in the second half Partizan could not reduce the two-goal deficit. Three attemps in the final five minutes of the game, including one on man-up were saved or blocked as Radnicki ended up victorious 9-7 to set up a Super Cup and national championship play-offs finals rematch in Zvezda's Tasmajdan pool on Sunday.
